Intercept Human Traffickers
This artical is from the Jan. 2013 Response

In February thousands will travel to New Orleans, LA, for the National Football League's 2013 Super Bowl, the nation's largest sporting event.  Most bowl revelers will freely travel down Interstate Highways 10, 12, and U.S. Route 90 or Airline Highway to New Orleans.  Some, however, will travel under duress, force to fraud as humans trafficked to the event to serve food at catered parties, clean hotel rooms, tidy local nail salons or offer sexually exploitive " adult services."  The commercial sex industry relies heavily on human trafficking victims.

This Super Bowl Sunday, United Methodist Women can help intercept the traffickers and reverse the momentum.  Learn more about human trafficking, how to recognized it and how to stop it at

Susanna Circle supports our Sager Brown team

Women of  Susanna Circle met to finalize birthing kits for UMCOR
Last Thursday our Susanna Circle gathered to put together our supplies for UMCOR's birthing kits.  The goal for the circle was to have materials to put 32 birthing kits together.  The estimated cost for each kit is about $8.   A tote filled with receiving blankets, bar of soap, single-edge razor blade, 3 - 1ft pieces of string, latex gloves, and a piece of sheeting all placed in a one gallon ziplock bag will go with the mission team to UMCOR Sager Brown UMCOR Distribution Center in Baldwin, Louisiana. This project ties in with our December meeting Mary and Advent. Also at this gathering we were discussing our menu for the dinner that we will be providing to the women shelter.   Susanna Circle is really setting a rapid pace for 2013.    Way to go gals!!!
If you want to know more about this circle, contact Mary Dambek mfd71@yahoo.com... chief communicator or Deb Wuebbling   debbwueb@aol.com chief organizer.
